The name is Dom. I used to post here a fair bit. I like cartoons, reggae, video games, and excessively loud noises.
Since my main means for reaching peoples in this day and are websites such as this and the monolithic overfiend that is Facebook, I return to the wonderful world of LiveJournal once again.
Does anyone reading this live in Japan? Former high school buddies? Random people met online?
If so, let me know. I'm going to be there next week.
A lovingly retarded band I play in called Injured Ninja is tour through Japan.

If for any reason you're in Japan, in any of these places, please let me know. It'd be cool to have people to catch up with.
That, or just come get sonically beaten by the Ninjas.
Nootch.
Also, you'll find most of my blogging work here now: www.radiodingbat.com

Flying has brought me two moments of escape.
The first took place last Sunday, my own skin and a set of metal hooks as my vessel.
The second takes place Monday morning, by means of an airplane.
The first only lasted a little more than ten minutes, the second will last a month exactly. Small instances of time in the greater scheme of things, but one appreciates things more in small amounts, I find.
Both are new adventures.
Both are but the first of many.
I make no more false promises in regards to future updates. They will likely not occur. Life moves far too fast to document, and I've come to prefer investing my time and energy in simply living it. Truth be told, most of my audience are already characters in the stories they read.
Now, I count the hours to Monday morning. To flying once more. To new stories. To cheap wine and bread. To seeing my brother again.
To a very special little cat waiting for me in Charleroi.

Hi all. Under the cut is the first ten episodes on a series I worked on this year called Radio Dingbat. We've been producing these fortnightly (or as close to fortnightly as possible), and while we've nearly completed 20 episodes on our podcast, we're up to ten on YouTube.
If you'd like to watch better quality video, you can find the podcast at www.rockus.com.au in our Multimedia section.
( Or otherwise, click this thing. )
This series was first started by Mr Sam Winzar, and is jointly produced by he, myself, Steven Hughes and a Mr. Glen Adams.
This is easily one of the best projects I've ever worked on, and is by far the most fun.
When the final ten are up, i'll put them here too. Otherwise, check them out at the website.
I turn 22 this week.
Yay.

We are soundtracking experimental films live tomorrow night, so if you tire of trick or treating, please come down.
We are supposed to be performing under the name Wolfenstein Three Dee, but whoever did these posters...and I'm thinking that's Space Race...fucked up.
Still, there is noisy fun to be had.
There has been much crazy good Ninja news today, but until details are final, I shall announce nothing.
But soon...so soon.

Come on down to what will be a most righteous evening of Narnia-themed noise and madcappery.
Amazing things have happened in recent months, and it has all been far too crazy and hectic to sit down and update people. I do apologise. There will be a time when my life will grace the 0's and 1's of my Livejournal.
But, to be honest, you've probably got more of a chance to catch me on Facebook.
I fucking hate Perth.
But yay for shows! Please come down and dance.

NORTH PERTH'S HYDE PARK HOTEL CLOSES DOORS TO AMPLIFIED MUSIC; MINISTER ANGERED BY LACK OF VISION Culture and Arts Minister Sheila McHale today expressed her shock and disappointment with the Hyde Park Hotel’s decision to close its doors to amplified music. Ms McHale said that the Hyde Park Hotel’s management was in danger of losing the hotel’s international reputation as a nurturer of new talent.
“A major retail conglomerate may have purchased the hotel for its liquor outlet, but the heart and soul of the hotel is its long-term standing as a live music venue,” the Minister said. “The Hyde Park Hotel has long been considered a breeding ground for local original music, as well as home to the Perth Jazz Society for the past 20 years. And they too have been evicted. I encourage all supporters of the Perth music scene to make their voices heard to the new management. Given the Government’s offer of solutions to noise complaints through the Sound Attenuation Support Program (SASP) Fund, I have doubts as to the reasons given for this change."
"Music venues supporting live original contemporary music are eligible for dollar-for-dollar funding of up to $50,000 to make changes to their operations which reduce the noise impact on neighbouring houses and businesses. With new changes to the Liquor Licensing Act and support through SASP, the State Government has created the strongest ever environment for the live music industry in Western Australia. WA's music industry can only continue to develop if venues support live original contemporary music.”
In other news...
I know wonder how, six months after graduating, I'm still just as behind with work and socially reclusive.

Hmm. I do hope he has large speakers somewhere on that rather complicated frame.
And he better still be the token black guy.
In case you're wondering, that's Jazz.
I know I promised updates ages ago, but things have been stupidly busy recently. Sensimilla Productions is currently in post-production for the Rumble tour, we've just taken on another project, and then there is that magazine and all that entails. Dingbat is going really well- My Disco last week, and fingers crossed, some pretty big acts on upcoming episodes.
I've been working heaps at the Belgian- yardie shifts all week. The constant morning starts have been a little draining, but I'm nearly back on top funds wise. That, and I have weekends back. I forgot what that was like.
Anywhoo, I won't write much more. I'm sure at some point I'll finally sit down, whack some photos up, and go back to regular updates.
Not that it makes much of a difference though- failing to update my LiveJournal doesn't exactly bring the very gears of society to a grinding halt.
All in all, though... things are good.
Nootch.
